How to Get Apple Watch Out of Power Reserve
Apple Watch, being a sleek and advanced smartwatch, has a unique feature called Power Reserve mode. This mode is designed to help your watch last for an extended period when the battery is critically low. However, getting your Apple Watch out of Power Reserve mode can sometimes be a bit tricky. In this article, we will guide you through the steps to get your Apple Watch back to normal operation.
Firstly, it is essential to understand that Power Reserve mode is an emergency feature that conserves battery by displaying only the time and a few basic functions. To exit this mode, follow these steps:
1.
Make sure your Apple Watch is fully charged or has enough battery to exit Power Reserve mode. If it’s not, charge your watch until it has at least 10% battery.
2.
Press and hold the side button on your Apple Watch until the power off slider appears on the screen.
3.
Drag the slider to the right to turn off your Apple Watch.
4.
After your Apple Watch turns off, wait for a few seconds before turning it back on.
5.
Press and hold the side button again until the Apple Watch turns on and the Apple logo appears.
6.
Once your Apple Watch is back on, it should automatically exit Power Reserve mode and return to normal operation.
In some cases, your Apple Watch may still be in Power Reserve mode even after following these steps. If that happens, try the following additional steps:
1.
Remove the Apple Watch band and let it sit for a few minutes. This can help reset the watch and exit Power Reserve mode.
2.
Check if your Apple Watch is connected to your iPhone. If it is, disconnect the connection and try the previous steps again.
3.
Reset your Apple Watch to its factory settings. Note that this will erase all your data, so back up your watch before proceeding. To reset, go to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, tap ‘My Watch,’ then ‘General,’ and finally ‘Reset Watch.’ Choose ‘Erase All Content and Settings’ and follow the on-screen instructions.
By following these steps, you should be able to get your Apple Watch out of Power Reserve mode and return it to normal operation. Remember to keep your watch charged and maintain regular usage to avoid encountering this issue in the future.
